Yeeeaaaaaa, it's story time!

Soooo, you've wrote your "moon myth" (first draft, ha!) and your just about ready to start the PowerPoint and present to your classmates. But.... a story is only good as the person you are reading it to. Soooooo, read your "moon myth" to a younger person and write how did they receive the story. Did they enjoy the story? Did they "get it" as in get what your "moon myth" was trying to explain about the moon (process or feature)? Finally, if they didn't like it, what could you improve with your story so it can be a hit when you finally present it to your classmates?

ONE PARAGRAPH (or more for extra credit :p )

I decided to tell my moon myth to my younger cousin. When I asked her the question "do you know how the moon got in the sky?" she replied "I don`t know." So I decided to tell her my moon myth. When I was telling the myth, she had a "that is such a lie, but I'll play along face." She heard of a character I used in my moon myth, but didn't know much about the character so I told her about the character. After she learned, she said "yea that story's a lie." Then I told her that it was a myth' it's supposed to be fake.

I told my moon myth to my sister. When telling it to her she said that my myth was funny because the moon was like a shield for protection for people all over the USA then all of a sudden ended up in space. While telling the story she said "OH my god is so not real, a giant in space got hungry and would take pieces off the moon then put it back when he eventually burped. she said she liked it but the only thing that she didn't understand was how did the moon get it's name. So what I will do in the future is tell how the moon got it's name. These are the things that I would do to my myth and how well it went while presenting my myth to my sister.

I read my moon myth to my little sister. She said "what is a moon myth?" I told her it was a story about how the moon got the sky so she started to pay attention. I started to tell her the story.. once I got to the end she said that the story was not real and asked me if I believed it? I told her that the story is a myth and then she asked me “what is a myth?” and I answered. She totally understood my story after I told her it was made up...she didn't believe it at all... I think I should have made my story a little more realistic and maybe she wouldn’t had so many questions.

I told my little brother my moon myth. Overall he said he liked it. He also said that instead of super gluing the moon back together my super human should have magically put the moon back together. He liked how the super human looked and how he came from a different planet. His outfit was red and blue. He liked the graphics in the back ground too. My little brother said it was a good moon myth.

I decided to read my moon myth to my younger sister. At first when i was reading the story,She used to stop me to ask many questions. One of the first questions she asked me was " Did the moon really got there that way " ?. I replied with a no because i made it up. In my opinion she did enjoy the story because she was into it. Also because she asked me multiple questions about how the moon really got there, And how it really got its features. In my opinion she did get what my moon myth was.

I've shared my myth story to my little brother. He really enjoyed it. My brother also made a connection to my myth. It reminded him of a movie called "Darkness Falls". He made a connection about how the lady grabs the peoples in the dark when they stepped into it. In the myth the lady is the moon. The moon was scared of the of the light.

I decided to tell my sister about my story. She asked me "what is a moon myth"? but i didn't answer her because i wanted to see what she would think. She thought it was funny and interesting. My sister kept asking me if this was really true because she didn't know the truth about the moon. After i was done with reading my moon myth she thought it was a great story line. So i guess my sister learned something in my story.

I chose to read to my younger cousin. While I was reading she said, "oooo". She understood that my story was fake. But, she said, "If there was another idea about the moon that my story would be it". She knew that myths don't tell the truth and it was interesting to see her reaction because she thought the story was cute.

I read my "Moon Myth" to my Nephew as A bedtime story. In the matter of 30 seconds he told me "that's not a story"!. I was shocked because he is only 4 years old. I told him that it is a fake story, he laughed at me and said "Aunti you are so crazy" Than I tried to read the rest of the story to him and he said he doesn't want to hear it anymore, he suggested i just read him a Dr.Suess' book before he goes crazy!. That's when I told him that he had to listen to it. He finally listened to my story and every since then all he does is run up in down the house screaming "mommy the moon ran away!." His mother asked him were did he learn that from an he said me. Then she came to me and told me not to Encourage her son to be crazy like me , and that shes not saying that her on can't have a imagination, but she doesn't want him to have one as big as mine!.

I finally found somebody! I read my moon myth to my little cousin. He really enjoyed the whole concept of the sugar and sweets and how he got sick and he turned into the moon. He laughed at the Gigantico part and how he was described as a huge yellow m&m. I thought my story was wack! Most people liked it [:

I told my moon myth to my Neice who is 3 and the good thing about it was that she loves the Rugrats and she her favorite character is Tommy. She thought it was really funny. Almost every night she wants me to read it to her every night as a bedtime story. I also read it to my cousin who is 5. she thought it was kind of dumb but in a way she liked it. I never knew i would get that kind of honest feed back from a 5 year old.
