Happy Holidays :)

(...I'll be doing alot of this during the break, ha!)

After enjoying your holidays, curl up with some hot cocoa (me some DDs, lol) and watch an science-related show like Mythbusters, Future Weapons, Deadliest Warriors, or even CSI. Then write a one paragraph response, and include a picture if you can! Or research a favorite topic and write a brief summary of your research like how it can rain and it's sunny outside? It's up to you!

...AND REMEMBER, don't copy and paste info, use your own words!

Love ya'll
Mr.B

Well what I watched was "The Top 10 Exceptional Animals". Also the video shows animal that have talent. Such as a skateboarding dog, Marine mammal musicians, and a Tiger nurses piglets. I like this because how science does anything with anyone such as a human or an animals. Yet that when I seen these things I said look at how science is good for everything. But I will be looking forward for seeing more shows of this. This is all for the blog.

The show I watched was the show weird, true and freaky on animal planet. On that show they were talking about unusual cats. One cat they were talking about was really weird. They called the cat the ugliest cat in the world. This cat has a mane and is fur less everywhere else. This cat has the same mane and head placement as a lion.I don't know how this happen but it is weird.

The science related that show that I watched was planet earth and it was on the discovery channel. The episode was about will never-before-seen animal behaviors. It showed how animals acted differently when there wasn't people in sight. The episode was also about the rotation of the earth so I related it to the assignments we did in class. They also talked about caves and how animals hid in the biggest mountains. That is the science related show that I watched and what it was about.

so I just watched man, woman, wild. It was really crazy they were in a place were the humidity in the air was through the roof. And they also couldn't sleep in the jungle floor. The reason why is because it was REALLY dangerous it was crucial that they didn't because there were animals and creatures that could kill them by just biting them.So they made this little mood house thingy. There they had two fruit-bearing plants/trees to support the house thing they had. They also needed to eat other animals for food.Like for example they were looking for things to eat and they found this turtle and the lady started crying because it was her favorite animal. The guy didn't really care he just wanted them to have food.So the lady started crying lolx I was rolling but yea. Uhm after that they tried and keep looking for food and stuff and they eventually found a snake. So the guy asked the girl to take his shirt and make it a some what bag to put the snake in.Because he couldn't just kill it and leave it for later to cook when they start the fire. She asked why and the man said because the snake they had captured it rots quickly and then they couldn't eat it.So the lady just sat there mad close to the snake and it almost bit her because at the moment the man wasn't holding it right so she jumped and screamed it was hilarious lolx I was dieing hehehehe even though I would've done the same thing but yerr. After she finished making the bag and w.e they start making the fire.It was kind of difficult because of the humidity level and so they just kept rubbing these to sticks together.Well they wasn't really sticks they were pieces of wood like a branches but yeah. They kept doing that till they eventually made fire. But it wasn't just some fire it was kind of weak so they had to keep feeding it so it can keep going so they can make food and keep them warm and that's when they ended the show.

I was watching Ghost Lab and they talked about a lot of different things. The first little episode was about people having claims about hearing a girl say something about dancing but they couldn't really figure out the whole thing. The second episode was one of the ladies who works with ghost lab went into a house, into the bathroom, in the bathtub and stayed there then she heard somebody like pick up a coin and drop it which was another claim. The Third one is they are in a basement and they are feeling ghosts and there is no A/C or window open and the temperature dropped dramatically every time they said Richie which i think is the ghosts name. The last one was connected to Richie and this ghosts name was Walter and they are trying to get him out but Walter is the "Arch Enemy" of Richie so that's probably why he is not coming out when they call him. Those are the four episodes I watched of Ghost Lab

Well the topic i found was, were does ear wax come from? I know its kind of a gross topic but at least its something rather than nothing.I found that human have glands everywhere! You've got 2000 special glands in your ear canal alone which manufacture this wax!In case you might not know, a gland is a tiny structure of cells which, in this case, makes and oozes out wax. But one thing you guys might not know is that wax actually helps to kill germs even though its sticky and nasty. Many people get to think of what happens to their old ear wax. Well,as I read it mostly comes out by itself. Everyday, new wax pushes forward the old wax. That's why I believe people should clean their ears every morning when they wake up. Also, people sometimes think that there's no point of us human having ear wax and I thought that too! Until i found out that ear wax actually protects our ears. For example, it protects our ears from all sorts of things floating around in the air. Dirt, Dust, bugs! There's even a chemical in ear wax that helps protect against germs. Additionally there many different kinds of ear wax that different people have. For example, Ear wax can be gray, yellow, pumpkin-colored or brown;moist or dry ! But that's about all the information that I got on Ear wax! This is just a picture of what is ear wax is.

The show I was watching is called Criminal minds. Criminal minds is my favorite show. In this the show it was about a serial who has killed a family and the father is in the army. The FBI thinks its a copy cat. This show relates to science because it has psychology. Going inside the mind of a serial killer.

The science related show I wathed is called "Storm Chasers".I watched this because I wonder all the time why people would do stupid stuff like this. This show is about a man Dr. Josh Wurman talkin about we have only began to understand tornadoes. This is a science related show because it talks about weather.I say that because they were building a science machine to make their way to tornado alley. Tornado alley is a place where there is hot moist air drifts up from the golf of mexico and warm moist air flows in from the dessert south west and a jet stream comes and mixes it all together so it could cause a tornado.Thats why this is a science related show because it deals with weather.

Well I have watch a video called "why? tell me why?sharks decline what I remeber from that video was sharks are use from meals to eat they are also so popular in Asia, they are very easy to catch when you go fishing and easy to kill. When sharks get caught they are hard to replace because they have to be a certain age to have babys and they only have a hand full of baby/shark babys.I have readed somthing about arheology that caught my eye which was when they where maybe looking around they have found a swimming pool in which legion roman soldiers took a bath in after sacking Jerusalem.Another thing that caught my eye about Archeology was that they have found noodles, cakes, porridge and meat bones unearthed at a chinese cemetery dating about over 2,500 years ago.The last thing that I read was Scientists have found a 1,800 - year old skeletons headless in york theage was btween 19and 45.Also the very last coo lthing to me was peruvian archaelogists have found/discove 6 mummified dog all dating from about 15th century the dogs have hair an complete teethand jesus holguinthey also found that they say were 4 children, the dog were wraped in cloth and buriedinone of pachacamae aclobe brick pyramids. To read more go to discovery channel and look up archelogists.

I've been watching a show called Criminal Minds for a while is this science related because it deals with DNA and investigations. In science you would have to run tests and investigate what happened, how it went wrong or right. For example the doctors in the show tryed to figure out how the person dead and they ran tests to find the cause of death.

A topic I found was about snakes.Snakes are very interesting creatures, they are able to eat lots of things that are big or small.I was learning about a green tree python. They live in rain forests in New Guinea and Northeastern Australia.I learned that when most snakes are being born one front tooth is poking out the egg.Plus snakes must be in warm climates in order to survive so if you leave them in the cold they will have a big chance of not surviving.

After the holadays I kicked back and watched some Deadliest Warriors. I watched the episode when it was the Mongols VS. the Apatchies. When they tested the wepons I was amazed. For example the Apatchies had a very small knife that was so thin like paper and so sharp that it's able to pierce a human skull with no prblem. I waz freaked out at first but then I said to myself that it was kind of cool.I like that so alot. When testing the wepons it was said by the computer data that when the man struck the life like fake human body with the knife he pirced it within almost two seconds. It was awesome!

Over the break I watched CSI New York and Miami. And on the episode I watched someone had been cut up into pieces and spread all over Miami, and what the crime scene investigators had to do was follow all the clues to find the killer and the remaining pieces to the body. For example the leg, arms, hands, head, and upper body was dislocated and they had to locate them. The first part they found was the arm and the had to check for bruises and prints with all this fancy science technology and they had to find out what object cut of the arm, they checked the crime scene for evidence and what ever prints or whatever they got it led to someone and that person is the suspect and they may or may not be the the suspect that committed the crime but they use that person to get information about who the real killer is.

Once Again I watched a show called Forensic Files. Basically, Forensic files is about investigators using forensic science to figure out murders. Just in case you didn't know I wanted to a homicide detective when I grew up so I watch these things to see what i would do when I get there some day. Anyways, the one I was watching was about a young teen who was found strangled in a ditch a few 100 miles from her home. The investigators found out who it was by using the same grass where she was found and traced it back to her stepfathers tire on his car. His reason being for killing her was that she talked back to him and so he slapped her and so he was afraid that he might get charges or go to jail. What he did was try to cover it up but definitely didn't get away with it. I really look forward to watching it some more.

What I watched was "I shouldn't be alive".It was about this man and his pet dog who got lost in the amazon forest in africa. Out of nowhere he He didn't eat for days; but after 21 days he had to eat his dog in order to stay alive. started shaking and throwing up black stuff becuase his stomach couldn't digest the dog meat. He started to think he had malaria. He had this book with him that he started writing notes to his family back home just in case he doesn't survive. That show was very creepy that it got me scared that if one day i got lost i wouldn't know what to do; but of course i wouldn't eat a "DOG" like he did.
