In China, the government has for a long time imposed a law stating families are encouraged to have one child per household, or a number of children equal to their annual(yearly) income. This law was put in place due to the fact that China's "population of 65 years olds was only 66 million in 1990, and now is expected to grow 90 million by 2000, and 167 million by 2020. The population has put a tension on the limited resources of China. Many people are moving to the cities, leaving less people to farm the land, thus having less food in total for China's people." Some experts say that the United States is heading in that direction and a "population law" would help, in especially unplanned pregnancies. What do you think? Should there be a limit in how many children a couple can have, provided they have the means to take care of them? Or is this a violation of someone's right to bear children?

Why should people have a limit of kids to have? IF the couple wants to have three or more kids they should be able to have them. It is not the other peoples kids or life. The couple can deal with it if they want a lot of kids. Most people like having more than one child. So i think that people can have as many kids as they want.
to my opinion i think that you should be able to have as many kids as you want as long as you take care of them.if you don't want kids have protected sex,if you do you should take care of them because you put yourself in that predicament.kids are worth having a life and if you cant handle it don't have kids.So i think you should have as many kids as you want but if you cant handle it then don't have kids.simple as that.
Yes they should have a limit because what if you can't provide for the babies? Then what are you going to do? If you are going to have more children then you should plan for it financially.
i think that is a violation of someone right because people can't tell other people how many children a couple should have. i think that is up to the couple to decide how many children they should have.
a person can have any amount of kids they want. now people are havin the amount of kids they want and to only one kid is bad for people who want to have more kids. if a couple can handle more then one kid then they can have more. also to be treated the same way.
Why should everyone care for someone's kids. Why do we need to know how many kids each couple must have in their house. The government thinks this will help the population. NO, this only creates more problems for the parents. They already have a problem with one kid why should the government tell us why we need three kids in our house. The government can't even create enough jobs for everyone,but they can tell us we must have more children.
Well to the people that say you can have as many kids as you want i agree with them. Why? Well if you ant to have a lot of kids you can have them. For all the people that you have in your house you should have enough food to give to them. You the one that wanted to have more than 1 child. So there for you have to feed every one as well. There is no limit of how many kids you should have because its your life not the governments. You are in control of your life.
In my perspective, I believe that there shouldn't be a limit on how many children a couple wants to have. I believe that if a couple wants to have more than 2 kids, nobody should prevent the couple to have more kids. People in life can make decisions that they believe is going make them happy. Having how many children you want to have is not something that has to be a dilemma.

I agree with all the people that say that they should have a limit. If they don't want to get there kids taking away from them then they need to be able to provide for them.
People shouldn't have to get control by the government. The reason I say that is in china you need to have only 1 child in the house. Which I believe shouldn't be allow. I understand that people can't pay for there kids. It's there life so they should be able to do what they what. That's what I think about these post I feel that shouldn't be allowed.
Do you think people should have a limited amount of kids. Personally I believe that Asian people or Chinese people should be able to have as many kids as they want. I would never want to be in a situation like this. Its doesn't make sense to me really. And truthfully its not fair. I know those people are probably upset because of this situation. I think this is a violation of someone's right to bear children. I believe that a parent should decide to have how many kids as they want. I think that the government should not control how many baby"s a woman could have. One of these kids could be a future president or mayor so they should not only allow to have 1 child. This could be a wrong decision. It will be right to have more then 1 child.
My perspective is that they're shouldn't be a limit to how many kids you should have. If a couple believe that they can take good care of the children. That's what my perspective is.
I agree with Larry i believe it is wrong to not be able have more then 1 kid. You have the fact that the child could be the next president or a mayor. Also I think it is a volition to tell someone to not be able to have more then 1 kid. That's why i agree with Larry a lot. Why should couples listen to who should rule them. For my perspective i think anybody should have the much kids they want to because it's they own body. Also i know many people is having to much kids,but thats how much they want.If that was a rule in Boston that will have to be a rule because people have to listen to the police even if they don't like it.

China is a different country from the united states and they have their own rights. If that is a law that they want to have in their country it is up to them. In my opinion i don't really think that you should have a law on how many kids a couple can have. It should be their choice to make if they want to or not. You can't put a price on happiness, so what ever the couple wants to do it is their decision.
Honestly how is the government going to try to tell a couple how many children they can have. However, if the couple can afford it then whats the problem? The government is trying to take control of peoples personal life. Why does it matter. If the family isn't on welfare then the government shouldn't have their nose all in the mix.

I agree with anyone who said that couples should have their own rights on however how many kids they want to have without anyone telling them something else.
No one should have a limit to have children. I believe couples should have as much children as they want. They should not let no rule, control their body or a womens body. A couple should have 2 or 3 or as much as they want as children.

couples should have as many kids as they want.also what if the government only allows 2 kids per couple but some of the have triplets or quintuplets then what are the couple to do?they are not just gonna give some away,its there life and should be able to live it how they want.
In china there trying to control the population of china and there saying that they must have one child per household. There are trying stop or reduce the china population so it won't fill up and they got to start moving to other country or to new city so there helping to reduce the population of china.

There's a limit to what the government can control in peoples life? I don't think that there need to be a limit to how many kids a couple can have. A couple can have as much kids as they want especially if they are married.Once the child is born there are many ways to support it, such as welfare. The child can go on welfare and get there help,by the time welfares up the parent/guardian should be able to provide for there child.So for the government to say that it is very disrespectful towards the people of china.

Nobody should have a limit to having kids cause that is their own resposibility. If they can take care of thier kids they should be able to have as many as they want. If u cant take care of the kids you should have protected sex. Nobody dosent want to be worrying about another persons kids.Only have as many kids u can take care of.
I think that no one should tell someone they can have a kid or not. if i choose to have a kid that is y decision. I'm the one who has to take care of the child. I'm the one who has to feed the child so unless someone is putting money on my table than thats the only way they will be able to tell me i cant have a baby. making a baby is a big decision but there is always a way to make things work. you here of miricals every day about people who get lucky like winning the lotto. having a child is good responsibility but most people can handle it.
Love must be passing throughout the whole family.I believe this is not fair or right to parents.Parents should be able to have as much children as they want.In those times those people were abusing parents and people who wanted kids rights.So I think that's right for those who want to have as much children as they want to move to different cities and states.I am glad this already finished.

I think that its wrong to tell people that they cant have as much kids they want.I say this for many reasons. One reason is because its you are taking there rights to have as muck kids they can have. Another reason is because its a free country people do certain things like this. Plus another reason is because why do the people who made this law would care for someone else would care.This is what I think about this law.
