What would you do?
A famous company had created a new cleaning product that could get rid of virtually any type of stain, no matter what surface. This product, when introduced to the public, was a big success. After a while, reports started to come in saying that in some households, overuse of the product may cause breathing problems. The company stated in response to the reports "the reported effect of our product is only in 5% of the people that use the product." The company also said they will be marketing a "extra-strength" formula of the original version. Should the company take their product off the shelves until they know what is causing the breathing problems in "the 5%", or continue selling their product in its original formula?

I think the company should continue to use the product and put a huge red or orange label on the box that says "overuse of this product can lead to breathing problems". People are going to buy the product anyway because everyone wants to get rid of unwanted stains.
The percentage of people with breathing problems is likely to increase with the higher use of the product. The company should not make an extra strength version until the long term effects of the original are identified.
I think that the company should keep selling the product. They should just put a warning sing that to much use will give breathing problems.
i think they should take the product until they see what is wrong with it
I think the company should continue to do what they do because a bunch of people like to be clean. They don't want to have stains in there stuff.
when a cleaning chemical is really strong,but can cause breathing problems people think they should take it off and see whats wrong with it. I don't think so because, if people have 'breathing problems then don't use it. And if you complain don't buy simple as that. You chose what you wanna buy
The company has created a product that will get rid of any stain on any surface. Why should they take it of the markets. The only people who would over use it are messy people. Those who try to keep their house clean won't have a problem with over using the product. Why should the company waste their time and money for people how will always be make a mess and take the easy way to clean it.
In my perspective the product should be taking of the shelfs because the percentage can increase and it can have many affects on people. Also it can lead to great damages.
i agree with Jalyn. I agree with her because people like to be clean. But if thier house is clean they dont have to use it that much.
My opinion and other peoples opinion is different. Well I think that they SHOULD take the product off. If it's causing a BREATHING problem then YEAH take the product off. Yeah, there are people that are very CLEAN, but some people aren't like that. Like I said I don't think the product because it's not safe.

MORE THAN LIKELY,THE PEOPLE WHO ARE GETTING BREATHING PROBLEMS ARE PEOPLE WHO USE TOO MUCH OF THE PRODUCT.IF PEOPLE USE LESS OF THE PRODUCT, THE PERCENTAGE OF BREATHING PRODUCTS MAY DECREASE.

I agree with what mercedes because if they find out what's causing the breathing issue' then everything can be resolved.
People wont care if the product causes problems because all they care is their house to be clean. This is what the company wanted. The company might of knew of its effects,but they also could of known that people are stupid enough to not care about it.

I think the company should keep selling the product because it works. The stains comes out on anything and thats a good thing. Many people likes there things extra clean and that product works.
i thik that they should discontinue this poduct.i say this beacuse this is causing a huge problem.yeah som people might be clean and other might not.but this affects everyone
I think the product is good to use, but not in a house hold with infants because the can get very sick .For example, bleach is a good product to use for cleaning but don't use to much. these type of produts can be use for certain poeple because i can't stand the smell of pine soul it make my lungs feel like they are closing on me

I think the product should be taken off the shelves because breathing problems could result in death and the more people that buys the product the more people have a higher risks of becoming a victim in this situation.
I THINK THEY COMPANY SHOULD STOP AND TAKE THE PRODUCT OFF THE SHELFS UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED.IF THEY CONTINUE TO SELL WHILE MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE GETTING SICK HEN EVENTUALLY PEOPLE WILL STOP BUYING THE PRODUCT AND EVEN GET LAW SUITES.
i think that they should continue selling their product because the original post said that the reason that the only reason that people were having breathing problems was because they were over using the product.if that 5% stopped over using the product then they wouldn't be having any breathing problems. so if i was the company owner i would keep my product on the shelves.
Well if it's a good product the company should keep it on the shelves . If the breathing thing becomes to much of a problem then they should come to the conclusion and take them off the shelves until the new and improved are ready. however, i think they should stay on the shelves.......SHATYRA LOFTIS

I think that the company should keep selling the product.This is said because since its that good at stain and because everyone finds it interesting to buy and also because the company is making a good profit.Instead they should just put something on the product to warn people to be careful and the effects that may be dangerous if not use with caution.

Every person has a different perspesctive. For example, some people think different in why should the product people's are using and is giving problem to breathe should stay in stock or not. If the product is giving people hard time breathing the company needs to figure out the problem. They can actually kill many people.

I would say that the product should stay on the shelf...I say that because since its causing much problems with people's health then I would advise the sellers to keep it away.They should keep it away from the rest because then if not more people would have problems.Then if that happens they would run out of business.

If a major company had reconcidered a product people would stoop buying thier product[s].Once some thing GOOD has came out a lot of people would buy it.The effect their product has only 5%.If the company takes the product of the shelves many peolpwill stop using other products that this comany has made.
I say they should take off the product because that is risking lives sence people are getting breathing problems of the product.

i wouldn't be using that product even if the breath problem rate was only 5%. It should have been discontinued after a couple people had breath problems.
they should take this product off the market. it is dangerous for them to have that product on the market. what if a baby was to get in contact with this product.what if i got in contact with this product.

i think they should keep sealing this product because it works.
I think the company should not sell this anymore because people with asthma could die from breathing problems so i think that this is bad for the community.Also think of little babies could die because they have small lungs are not developed than humans.

i think that if you are getting a compliant look in to the product.that would be the smart thing to do. before anymore complaint come in.
Why can't things just be simple and not so complex. Finallya product comes out avalible to all to use that could be very heplful in everyday life. It is a cleaning supply that can virtually clean up any mess or stain or ANY surface. AMAZING right? Right, atleast until something came up about breathing problems with 5% of people that actually use the product. I feel that the company should take their product OFF THE MARKET until they can find out what is causing people to have these side effects. Although the percentage isn't that great the people that have promblems breathing when using this great product could have a great health promblem to be the outcome if they countinue to use the product. Take it off the market until the solution is found. Once the solution is found you can fix the problem and then put your outstanding prouduct back on store shelves.
If the island are build in unsafe places why would people put other peoples life in danger. i don't think that would be the best thing to do because many life's could be lost and thats not right building island were your putting people in life or death situations.
I think that they should take the product away until they find out what the problem is.I know that people like to have clean houses but people would also want to breath in they're clean house. I know that the product is a good product but there are other better products out there that can clean your house.
I think that they should keep on selling it. I say this for many reasons. One reason is its only 5% is having problems with this product. Another reason is because it helps keep the house clean from any type of stain. Plus another reason is because this could be a very successful project in the cleaning industry. These are reasons why it should keep this in the market.
I think they should still use the product because people are still going to ues it .Also for people who have breathing prolems should just be warned first before using it. I do agree with thet people who said that the product should be bought.
